The Gospel: We pridefully rebelled against God, becoming so broken and messed up that we could never be right with Him on our own…yet while we were still sinners God loved us so much that He was glad to come and die for us, so we could be reconciled to Him. We betrayed Him and He still wants us back! And what great lengths He has gone to do so!
It should be hard to keep a straight face when we think about the Gospel. This is a message that should make reasonable, thoughtful, respectable adults stand up in their chairs and shout for joy.
