*This was possibly the best weekend ever. Birthday cookout for Kristi + ultimate tournament + rockaway’s + an 80’s cover band + fishing + church = amazing. I don’t know if I could have dreamed up anything better.
*I take that back–I would add seeing Prince Caspian to the list.
*Today I managed to lock out of our apartment myself, Kristi, and our dog. We had no phone, no shoes on, and I had no shirt on. It was actually pretty funny. I literally almost fell ten feet off the roof onto a prickly bush while I was climbing up to break into our screened in porch. Where is Jay Hendricks at when you need him?
How could I do such a silly thing, you might ask? How could I lock myself out of my apartment not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 times in 7 months–2 of the times being locked out on the screened in porch? Please, please don’t make the mistake of underestimating my stupidity. But for real, this time the wind blew the door shut…
*Thank You Jesus that my car only locks from the outside.
*I wear a $7.87 fake Timex digital watch from Wal-Mart. I love my watch, but I do have to buy a new one every few months because they break fairly easily. Last week I went to get a new one and the craziest thing happened. I picked up the new watch and held it next to mine to make sure it was the right one, and I quickly realized that they were perfectly synchronized to the second. How incredible is that? I was so amazed I think it made my whole week. I was an only child for 12 years, so I guess I am easily entertained…
*Jesus, thanks for saving me the 10 minutes it would have taken me to figure out how to set the time on my new watch.
