  1. Transformational!!!  Wow and wow!  “The gospel is not ‘you do,’ but ‘Jesus did’.” On that is solid rock, all else is sinking sand.  Amen!

I wonder if there was no act of contrition and a person never hears “I am sorry, your are loved, please forgive me”? There is no relief, just a necessity to somehow continue on with a huge gaping wound, so to speak.
Have you talked about this somewhere?  If so please direct me.

Beautiful story.  Much to ponder.  Thank you Brother,  I look forward to seeing you face to face, sooner of later.  I hunger for a family such as yours.

    Love  Kathy

    1. Hey Kathy, thanks so much for reading, and for your encouragement!

I haven’t spoken about that anywhere but it is definitely an interesting question. We do talk in Recovery about how to process forgiving others, even if they don’t ask for forgiveness. It is a difficult thing, for sure.

Thanks again and if you get a chance I’d love for you to leave a short review on the book’s Amazon or Goodreads page.

    2. Hi kathy, I know what you mean.I also have a big gashing wound that could of easily been healed with a few simple words,”I”m sorry I had an _______Please forgive me” but those words were never spoken. I’ve been told to forgive them even if they don’t forgive you.Easily said then done, but I’m trying(with the help of Jesus.I have a new life full of wonderful people but in my heart is pain that noone can see..I’m a work in progress. Jesus did die for me because He is love and He is real and true and present in my life God Bless TOM

  2. Got the book from Amazon yesterday and just finished it! Wonderful story on many levels – I enjoyed the writing and the story makes me take a closer look at my Christian faith. I am thankful that you have a church that teaches true Christianity, and not just judgmental righteousness! We need a lot more like you!

    1. Thanks so much Theresa! So glad that it pushed you in your faith. I appreciate you reading. If you get a chance, I’d love it if you want to leave a short review on the book’s Amazon or Goodreads page.

      Thanks again!

  3. Wow. I loved your book! I just finished reading it. I usually read at work during breaks, but since I know I’ll cry at Hallmark commercials, I finished it at home. Bawled my eyes out because it was so beautifully written. Thank you for writing this book, and keeping it real. (I even took the time to post a comment on Amazon, and my facebook page.) I pray others take the time to read this book, especially my husband.
The imagery in regards to “Come and drink”, and the dream sequence, I got a glass of water when I was done reading, and WOW, water never tasted so sweet.

    1. Mona, thanks so much for this. I appreciate you reading and responding, and I’m so glad that you enjoyed the book.

Thanks for reviewing on Amazon and helping spread the word. I will pray that your husband will read it. Let me know if he does!

  4. Hey Brandon, Just finished reading your book, wow did I need it. I’m Jack, and Chloe all in one. I had a dad as bad as Jacks. Hurt someone like Jack did(wow that feels good to get that out) and was hurt like Chloe. Life sure can get messed up. Jesus helped me to be forgiven and is helping me forgive.Glad I read this book and do like having a new friend..HaHa Thanks man sure was a good read

    1. Wow Tom, that is incredible. So encouraging to hear about Jesus’ work in your life. Very cool that He both forgives us and helps us forgive others. Life is indeed messy.

Thanks so much for reading and responding. I really appreciate you sharing a bit of your story with me.

If you’d like, I’d love for you to leave a short review on Amazon. Those are always helpful.

Thanks again Tom, hope to see you around the blog!
